LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif decided to bring his foreign assets back to Pakistan.
The chief minister has decided to transfer his foreign assets, in which his personal investment is not more than 18 per cent and the rest of the amount is in the shape of loans, back to Pakistan after selling them off and clearing all financial obligations, a spokesman for the Sharif brothers said here on Tuesday.
Referring to media reports and comments about the list of assets submitted by the chief minister to the Election Commission, he said: The Sharif family has already made it clear that the total size of foreign investment of the chief minister is not more than Rs30 million which was made by him during his exile in the United Kingdom to arrange finances for himself and his family members when he was under treatment for a serious disease in London.
After his return from the UK no addition has been made in this investment.
