Think of a fighter pilot and you can be forgiven for visualising Tom Cruise in Top Gun.
Young, dashing, clean shaven, flying at Mach-2 with hair on fire.
In reality a cool calculated physically fit and mentally alert just a humble guy.

Take a look at this PAF pilot.
You may think, with that beard, he looks more like the local Imam or your regular class teacher but looks can be so deceptive.

Guys this is OC No 19 Squadron, Wing Commander Shahbaz Haider. No. 19 known as Sherdil/Hawks is the famous unit which in 1965 devastated IAF Pathankot airfield, thus it's his job to carry that legacy.

Firstly this is his ride.

And this is Wing Commander Shahbaz Haider performing for the Karachi crowd on Pakistan Day this year. Judge for yourself man and machine in perfect harmony.

I noticed something to that effect at Glasgow Airport.

@Oscar , W/C Shahbaz's instructor/teacher is a well known officer, once OC No 14 Squadron, seems very proud of his boy.

Glasgow was a very hopeful and positive idealism being slowly drained away..

The issue should be fine as long as none of these folks turn into YES men or overconfident know it alls

A few years ago, he received the best Combat Commander trophy at the Graduation Ceremony of Combat Commanders School (CCS).
