Shah (2015) - Movie Review

in 70 years, Pakistan has had only 2 olympic medalists outside of Hockey. Hussain Shah (Boxing, bronze 1988) and Mohammad Bashir (Wrestling, bronze 1960). Shah is a biopic on the formers life. It proves that you don't need a high budget to make a good film, but you probably need one to make a great film. This film is available for free on youtube, but has unfortunately only 574K views, as opposed to Actor in Law (2016) which is upwards of 10M. Box-office gross between the 2 had similar differential.

PS: Mohammed Bashir's story is no better. He was apparently told to carry/ load/ unload the luggage of his manager as he was the strongman.

One thing that I found to be surprising about this film was that the interview shown in the film is a real interview of Hussain Shah, not something added for dramatic purpose. Many of the hard hitting dialogues in the film are straight from this interview.

SHAH the full movie is available on youtube. It was uploaded by the actual production company to battle piracy. Ironically, the original has been copied by others and uploaded on youtube for profit as well. The embedded video is that uploaded by the original production company.
