‘Shabash Pakistan’ sparks wave of patriotism

Monday, December 10, 2012 - Islamabad—As many as 200 future leaders of Pakistan pledged to contribute to society in some way in order to make Pakistan a better place. The excited and enthusiastic group of youngsters, at a symposium titled ‘Shabash Pakistan’ held at Air University Islamabad, seemed quite eager to work towards a better future.

‘Shabash Pakistan’ is a nation-branding movement, started by the School of Leadership, that aims at re-awakening patriotism and ‘Pakistaniyat’ in the youth of Pakistan to inculcate a sense of contribution in our future leaders.

The program, comprising of a number of exciting tasks, was intended to facilitate the youth to project a positive image of Pakistan in the international arena.

‘Shabash Pakistan’ is a series of three one-day sessions in four universities, namely NUST, Bahria , COMSATS and Air University, divided over a period of three months and focuses on undergraduate and graduate students.

The session at Air University was the final step of three step program. It started off with discussion with Project Leaders, about their experience during project activities.

Project reports were presented that established authenticity and provided a platform to youth all cross the world to join in their efforts even if they have not been part of the program.

A session on motivation, led by Umair Jaliawala (Lead Trainer), offered some inspirational stories of legendary Pakistanis with participants in the segment - Showcasing Pakistani Legends - that helped spark the motivational feeling and gave an empowering sense of hope.

The young blood was taught in an interactive and participative manner at ‘Shabash Pakistan’, which speaks of the innovative ways adopted by School of Leadership to provide a platform for individuals to discover and utilize their abilities.
