Secretary health refuses to follow the instruction of Sindh health minister, Dr Sagheer Ahmed.

KARACHI: Sindh Health Minister Dr. Sagheer Ahmed expressed on Monday his discontentment over split in health department without his consent, ARY News reported.

The minister, who belongs to Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM), moaned that he was not even consulted before a decision was taken concerning his ministry. He expressed strong reservation against handing over of primary healthcare centers to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) without his consent.

Earlier, primary healthcare centers were working under the authority of provincial health department.

He stressed that he could have given a better solution had his opinion was sought regarding splitting of his health department.
