This is not about MQM, but karachi local government empowerment and implementing the article 140 A which guarentees it. we are talking about law here not judge's/establishment's favourite party and their reps.

I agree with your overall assessment regarding empowering local bodies, but you fail to understand what chief justice remarks are about. Will there be a sizable impact on ground or will it again be used to finance local political party , that's what chief justice asked. I guess it will be another lol moment for Karachi if even after getting the funds situation does not improve. That's what he was asking. Is it just a change of hands as far as corruption is concerned or will the resources actually be put to use for the betterment of Karachi.

the title which i made was explained using bold highlighted lines in the article, the petition has nothing to do about KMC's performance and has to do with LG empowerment and implementation of article 140 A, the judge completely dismissed any discussion based on that, hence the SC judge's statement was irrelevant just reflects the SC is not interested in empowering the LG otherwise it had not delayed the petition for 3 to 4 years when the LG elected reps were still in office.

Altering title & forging with central idea of an article, is not impartiality. Let me be very honest with you..... Never take cheap shots at anyone. Supreme Court did the right thing so that the root of problem can be solved before negligent, incompetent and corrupt City Government/LG.
