Saudi diplomat accused of sexually assaulting Nepalese women leaves India: MEA | Zee News
Last Updated: Wednesday, September 16, 2015 - 22:56

New Delhi: The Saudi Arabian diplomat, accused of allegedly raping two Nepalese women left India Wednesday night, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed.

We have learnt that the first secretary Majed Hassan Ashoor who was allegedly accused of raping two Nepalese women has left India," spokesperson in External Affairs Ministry Vikas Swaroop said.

"The first secretary being a diplomat is governed by the provision of the Vienna convention on diplomatic relations," Swaroop added.

According to a police complaint filed last week, two Nepalese women alleged that they were raped by a Saudi diplomat and also by his friends and guests. They also alleged that his wife and daughter harassed them and beat them.

The Saudi Embassy has termed the allegations as "false" and said it has protested police "intrusion" into a diplomat's house against "all diplomatic conventions".

How the f*ck did he escape the law? So he can commit crimes in our country and get away seeking diplomatic immunity. Hope the government takes this up with Saudia and get this man punished.

Shupa Powa Modi bowed to the King?

I have nothing but absolute fate in the Saudi Arabian government to prosecute this man just like they do to the people that abuse their South Asian maids and laborers

What is happening in India, so many rape news lately. Prosecute the rapists. Don't let them walk free.

It's up to the Saudis now, only they can do it. Though based on the response of the Saudi Arabian Embassy, he'll more than likely get away with it.

They claimed diplomatic immunity and you cant do anything.

Power of defence cooperation. No one gives a **** about a woman when billions of dollars are at stake. This is the true face and reality of this world.

Just like Italian marines, make a mockery of India. But at least Delhi lived up to its reputation.
Instead of behaving like a 50 center chini bot why don't you try to understand the gravity of the situation in this case:rolleyes:!
1st of all the maids were not Indian citizens, they were Nepalese citizens and hence from the very beginning it was between the KSA and the Nepal Govt.,India was just a third party in this matter.Plus this man has got total diplomatic immunity as per the Vienna Convention of 1961 and hence got away scot free. Our police did arrest him but we were forced to let him go under pressure from KSA and Nepal as none of them wanted an international fiasco regarding this incident:coffee:!
