The area, Najd, where the Wahabi's are from was never under the control of the Ottomans. Hejaz was, which is where the Hashemites were in charge.

Any attempts against the Ottoman state by the Sauds was a foreign assault, not an internal one. Wouldn't be a revolt.

Google Sanjak of Najd, the British considered the area and suads as vassals to the Ottomans. You don’t need troops stantioned on every hilltop and desert to call it yours. That’s not how the Ottomans worked, by this logic we could call Ottoman Egypt, Ottoman Serbia, Ottoman Romania, Ottoman Ukraine etc Not a part of the empire. In fact you could reduce the Ottoman empires size or decrease it 2 fold depending on how you view vassals.

Plus, the Suadi / Wahhabi revolt was of an ideological one, it’s called revolt for a reason, not an “external force” they revolted and attacked against the caliphs of the time when Muslims from Morocco to India and Malaysia accepted the Ottoman title.

Luckily the first was destroyed otherwise every Muslim pilgrim to Mecca would be getting beheaded right now labelled as infidels.
