Saree & ‘Osari’ are Muslim attires from Middle East later adapted by India - SL MP

Similar garments to the saree were developed in almost every civilization. The saree was in no way brought to India by Muslims, since it was worn long before Islam was created.

So how do you explain the thousands of years of South Asian culture, civilization, and achievements in various fileds long before Islam was even a religion?

Dravidian culture achievements yes. I heard of cholas, pandyas spreading abroad to other countries. And Budhism too was primarly south Indian with humongous stupas in Andhra and eventually only Sri Lanka in deep south came budhist. But I dont know of any achievements of cow belt apart from caste apartheid and mind numbing poverty, communal riots. even temples are diminutive and nothing like massive temples in south. Everything explained away with convenient excuse pf "muslim invasion"

u seem to be one of the inquisitive lot.
before the cow belt became cow belt, it was the largest empire india had ever seen. alexander's armies mutinied against him because they came to know about nanda empire. nanda empire was succeeded by the magadha empire, wich at its peak, controlled bactria in the west to kamarupa (present day assam) to the east. only a tip of south india was left out (see samudragupta II).

They want to ban hijab and burqa. Shame on these people persecuting Muslims.

Like I posted in the other thread yesterday, the burqa and the niqab ( face cover ) is not from Islam but comes from a certain Jewish sect.

Show example of Saree in Middle East. This guy is trying multiple target practice with the same bullet. On one hand he wants separate identity from India, on the other hand wants no ME influence. No direct attack on India but utilizing unrelated sentiment directed at his agenda.

According to Zakir Naik, Hindus are actually Muslims. Seriously.

Yeah it gradually evolved over time. Keep in mind each region also had its own variation, typically depending on the local climate, culture and other factors.

Face covering actually goes back to the times of ancient Mesopotamia.

They suffer from an eternal identity crisis because they are not sure of their own history, so they try to project that on to us.

They were also the first to write one of the world first fiction work right?
Hijab is fine...Anything covering face by people from any religion should be banned in public places...
I am a bit on the edge on this one but do find it important to remove it on entrance spaces

Will it moo if you stare at it for long :D

Ancient cultures heavily influenced later cultures so the attires or customs of ancient levant may have had made their way into this region through the aryan invasion or even earlier when the IVC people traded with levant civilizations

BTW, I don't think Saree came from the middle east because there is no evidence. Even during Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) there was no such dress like saree for women hence he is just making up.

However, what I have read from several books and looking at some ancient art that there used to be no blouse before the advent of Islam in the subcontinent. So later the local people adopted the blouse to wear under the saree.
