Sara Khan slams rumours of her arrest in Pakistan

With rumours floating around that the Indian Actress Sara Khan who is currently appearing in a Drama called BayKhudi was held in police custody for extending her trip to Pakistan is absolutely false as revealed to us by director Furqan T.Siddiqui with whom the actress is working in a play called Laikin.

According to reports, Sara took off to Pakistan to shoot for a TV show but was forced to stay back in the country in police custody apparently.

“No, it’s not true, she was just stopped at the airport for over staying and was asked to go back to complete her paper work” revealed Siddiqui to HIP.

According to Bollywoodlife.com Khan too rubbished the rumours by saying that she had to stay back to get the NOC from Pakistan ministry and was never in police custody.

“I stayed in my five-star hotel, not in police custody. I don’t know who is spreading such news. I was not doing anything illegal there” said Sara in a statement.

She further added,

“I was two days above my visa because of flight issues. Then, the immigration people told me that I need to take the NOC. So, I stayed back there got the NOC and came back to Mumbai. I was not detained, I was retained there.”

Despite being seen in BayKhudi Sara Khan will soon be seen in another drama called Laikinalong with Farhan Malhi soon.

Well, she has work in Pakistan and that's what an artist want " to be on screen " second here we don't have RSS type goons who insult foreign artists and harm them physically or other way. Artists from India most welcome here but they take care in India to not be killed by bhakts.

Explaining what actually happened, 27-year-old Sara, who returned to India on Thursday morning, added: “There were no flights available the day I wanted to come back to India and my work visa was expiring. I had to extend my stay for two days. After two days, when I went to the airport, the immigration people said that I can’t fly back and have to get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their ministry. It took seven days to get the NOC because it’s an India-Pakistan thing. So, it took me a little longer to come back, but the rumours which are going on are absolutely sh*t.”


Sara, who rose to fame with the Indian TV show, Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai, says the reports are a figment of someone’s imagination because she was, in fact, enjoying a long stay at a five-star hotel in Pakistan. “I was staying at my five star hotel, partying and chilling, and then I came back to the sets. I don’t know who the f**k is spreading this news. The thing about jail has been said just to fu*k with my mind… to play around,” says Sara.
