Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has confirmed that the government plans to use drones for firing tear gas and rubber bullets to control the law and order situation in Islamabad.

PTI Chief Imran Khan Wednesday night announced that he will be starting a movement against the government on Saturday, hinting at leading a planned long march on Islamabad.

SAMAA TV reported yesterday that the government was planning to use drones for firing tear gas shells on the PTI protesters.

In response to a question from reporters, the interior minister confirmed that the government was planning to use drones for tear gas shelling.

He said the government was thinking about utilizing drones to make tear gas and rubber bullets more effective.

The federal government has also requested provinces to provide police personnel to stop the PTI march.

Asked what if the provincial governments in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where PTI is in power refused to provide police contingents, Rana Sanaullah said that the government would take action against them in line with the Constitution.

He said that the federal government had the FC, Rangers and Islamabad police on its disposal.

Speaking to reports that people in KP were protesting on the issue of banned TTP, Rana Sanaullah said that Pakistan’s security forces were capable of dealing with the situation.

There was nothing to worry about and cause panic on this, he said.

A time will come when Rana will hold responsible establishment for all this fiasco and say, I was under pressure from the establishment. Just wait ....Because he knows what will happen after the election.
But..everyone knows he is the mouthpiece of Mariam and Nawaz Sharif. ....same Javed Latifa.

What has not been used by Rana and his backers last time? they placed containers from Attock to Islamabad, dug trenches, placed glass with asphalt on road, and had all the Punjab Police, Islamabad Police, Rangers, and FC but still, Imran Khan march reached Islamabad and these PDM goons and their backers started to wet their pants, it was IK who decided to avoid bloodshed otherwise there were no stopping people. This time with only the Islamabad police, Rangers, and FC they think they can stop Imran Khan, how foolish, but what else can we expect from these goons, but this time if the Police or Rangers kill people then people will drag these PDM politicians and others responsible out of their homes and make Sri Lanka look like a picnic.

I hope all protesters go armed this time, the people of KPK and Waziristan have some good weapons.

This time they will get a taste of their own medicine.
Bhaijan I warned people not to malign the army earlier and everybody laughed at me, and then came the crackdown a few months later.
Don't incite others if someone is such a big follower, they must personally join the cause.
On a sarcastic note at least learn from Trump's followers.

No one will be allowed to storm Islamabad: Interior Minister

Government took tough decisions to steer the country out of the crisis: Rana Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Saturday said that no one will be allowed to storm the federal capital.

Addressing a press conference, Rana Sanaullah said that heavy contingent of Police and Rangers is at disposal of the government but every effort will be made for careful use of force to minimalize losses.

The minister further said that government took tough decisions to steer the country out of the crisis due to which they failed to control rising inflation in the country.

The PML-N leader blamed Imran Khan for delay in resumption of IMF program and claimed that the coalition government sacrificed its politics for the sake of the country.

He added that narrative of Imran Khan holds no importance and that removing PTI government in Punjab is not a tough task and several options are available for achieving this.

Interior Minister further said that government economic team will be strengthened with return of Ishaq Dar. He also claimed that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan before elections.

I am really not a fan of PTI but that being said, when I look at things from a neutral view, PTI protestors are the worst, they act sanctimonious as if everyone else is a criminal. When Imran Khan's baseline is that only he can save the country and everyone else is Mir Jafar, then you pretty much have no option but to eliminate these people from the streets which necessitates extreme decisions like this.
