A lot of people make the claim that Salafism is an evil warped version of Islam that is foreign to the Indus.

I'll ignore the first point since others have spoken of it (and because religious discussions are not allowed on this forum), but I am going to focus on the latter. Because it's not true. Salafism itself comes from the Indus.

Most people trace Salafism's roots to Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab's 18th century movement, and this is correct. But what many don't know is that Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab was taught by a Muslim scholar from the Indus (Sindh specifically), who was called Muhammad Hayat As Sindhi.

That makes Salafism much more Pakistani than, say, the Hanafi mazhab which many Pakistanis follow (since it was founded by Imam Abu Hanifa, who was an Afghan Persian).

So to use the argument of Salafism being foreign to Pakistan is an erroneous one, and any Muslims who are also Indus patriots should become Salafis, if they insist on Indus-centrism.

It is just propaganda. Salafis reformed Islam and reintroduced it's original essence back.

First and foremost Islam is only 1, exactly as it was issued to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The only differences are how we understand it and sometimes implement that understanding. There are no versions - all "versions" claim to be the original "version".

As for the arguement being made; Incorrect. Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab was taught by many people, he was refuted by many teachers including his own father. He references many scholars and yet at points his teachings are contradictory to those of other scholars (such as his views on Sufism, compared to Ibn Taymiyyah).

The man lived in Arabia, studied there, became a king maker there. Their interpretation of Islam only became popular with the petro-dollar. I know many brothers are followers and they're welcome to their views but even during his time, the views of AbdUlWahhab were not particularly mainstream.

I have yet to meet a salafi who isnt an idiot. The only good thing they do is they are clear on non association of anyone with Allah. Aside from tat they are total losers and i know foe i have them in my family.

I am not salafi i am not sunni. I am not shia. I am muslims. If the prophet pbuh him didnt do it i wont. Period. The rest of the isms can go jump. I will be in no sect inshallah

This is the political version of Islam hatched to legitimize the umvi theocracy and kingdoms across the Islamic world ----------.

The love for Sahaba R. A is just an excuse to promote the Contemporary unjust rule of many sultans and kings.

In the words of caliph Umar
"whoever imposes his rule by the sword without taking people into Confidence , be decapitated"

british spy hempher was the teacher of abdul wahab. the british govt trained him, gave him tasks and funded him.

Lol, Mohammad Hayat Al Sindhi was follower of Naqshbandi Tariqa, which Tariqa Wahhabi follows?

Similarly, Deoband movement's founder used to follow Haji Imdadullah Muhajir Makki (r.a) who used to do what today's deobandi call biddat etc.

ibne Abdul Wahhab was radical, extremists, His father condemned him, his brother condemned him, even Deobandis condemned him in their books.

Get your basics right and stop debating about Islam...You dont have a degree in it...What you need to do now is fix yourself and not indulge in debates for no reason!!
