He has shot to fame as London's first 'Muslim' mayor. And the Swaminarayan Temple in Neasden, a Hindu shrine, is among Saqid Khans's favourite places in the city. In a recent Facebook post, Khan has expressed his fondness for the temple.

Khan has declared his intentions to stand up for the London's Indian community and further strengthen the city's friendship with India. He called himself the 'most pro-business' London mayor ever, and expressed interest in leading a trade delegation to India. He also vowed to challenge the present government's 'unfair visa restrictions' that often make it difficult for businesses to find the best skilled employees

Pictures of Khan visiting the temple days before being elected as the mayor have gone viral where Khan is seen interacting with people from other faiths at the temple. He even holds out his hand for a priest to tie a string around his wrist, in keeping with a Hindu custom.

. . .
We voted for him due to his policies but like others he must deliver now

. .
It is a very pleasing sight

But please don't disown him just because he is liked by us :D

:) Well why would we disown him? He is free to be liked or like by anyone or anyone. .

It is good that being leader he cater to needs of every community. Being Pakistani original does not mean she should discriminate. He is doing what should be done

he also identified as Indian, maybe because he's a Muhajir Pakistani ?

Chalo ji aa gaye chachundar . yar ye tum bharati rondoo he sound kyun kartay ho jab happy ho tab bhi?

:pop:

Did he really identified as an Indian?
I doubt it, he probably expressed fondness for India. Really, if India and Pakistan weren't such bitter rivals, they'd probably be best friends. Indians and Pakistanis tend to get along just fine over seas.

He's the mayor of London, which means he represents every Londoner, even those that voted against him. Why is this news?

he may have won but look at his advisors and campgn organisers no different to how they have blackman in the white house but its his advisors that make the real decision.
