SEOUL - A South Korean civic group has sued the Fort Detrick biological laboratory and the US Forces Korea (USFK) over the smuggled toxic substances to US military bases here in violation of domestic law.

According to the Busan District Court website, Kim Hyun-joong, chairman of the Korea Fire Safety Education Culture Association (KFSECA), filed a complaint with the court in the country's southeast port city of Busan on Monday against the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases in Fort Detrick, Maryland, and the USFK commander Paul LaCamera.

The civic association reportedly held a plenary meeting last Monday to denounce the barbaric behavior of the USFK, which continued to illegally bring in toxic materials that can be fatal to the lives and security of people in the nation.

It claimed that the USFK and the Fort Detrick biolab violated the South Korean law and imported toxic substances into the country three times between 2017 and 2019.

The Fort Detrick biolab is a biochemical laboratory under the US Army that had been closed in August 2019 over safety concerns.

The worldwide call to look into the relations between the origin of the coronavirus and the US army lab has gained momentum.
Recently in the Philippines, an online petition to investigate the Fort Detrick biolab has obtained nearly 500 signatures.
According to the data submitted in October 2020 by South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to the office of Rep. Lee Jae-jung of the ruling Democratic Party, the USFK smuggled deadly toxic substances into the US military bases in Pyeongtaek, Gunsan, Osan and the Pier 8 of Busan Port in November 2017, October 2018 and January 2019.

Chairman Kim of the KFSECA was quoted by local media as saying the USFK ignored the South Korean law, which strongly prohibits the chemical and biological weapons.

Kim condemned the USFK as it imported lethal toxic substances and conducted experiments with them in secret.

The USFK has been criticized here for the secret importation and experiments of the toxic materials.

A probe by the US Department of Defense, released in July 2015, found that a US military lab in Utah had failed to neutralize live anthrax spores and shipped the toxic samples to researchers in 86 laboratories in the United States and seven other countries, including South Korea.

In May 2015, the USFK said in a statement that the anthrax sample experimentation program was conducted at the Osan Air Base, some 55 km south of the capital Seoul, the first time in the year, according to Yonhap news agency.

Citing the result of a joint investigation carried out by the South Korean and US militaries, Yonhap said in December 2015 that the USFK's statement proved to be false as it had staged 15 experiments using dead anthrax samples at the Yongsan Garrison in Seoul from 2009 to 2014.

It was belatedly known that the USFK also brought in the specimens of plague bacillus when it imported the dead anthrax samples into South Korea.

Option 1) South Korea is a Chinese puppet working for China trying to incriminate the U.S. regime
Option 2) Chinese hacker hacked Fort Detrick again and made them do this to incriminate the U.S. regime
Option 3) Praise yourself for being transparent about constantly doing wrong things whenever the U.S. regime gets called out by "allies" which means the U.S. regime never covered up anything else
Option 4) Pretend it never happend

🤔 I guess its going to be 3) followed by 4) while the NSA bots on U.S. social media do a little 1) and 2) here an there.

Only reported by Chinese media...not a mention in Korean media. :rolleyes1:

Just another in a long line of smokescreen articles which will end up debunked but not before the PDF bots get all excited.

Suspect typical embellished story by lying Chinese media. They probably paid somebody to file a frivolous lawsuit just for a story headline and it got thrown away as not serious..

- Complaint to the Busan District Court yirwojin toxic chemical experiment

The Korea Fire Safety Education and Culture Association (Chairman Hyun-joong Kim, hereafter referred to as the ‘association’) condemned the barbaric behavior of the U.S. Forces  Korea, which continues to illegally bring in toxic substances that can be fatal to the lives and security of our people. To this end, a plenary meeting was held on August 2nd, and a complaint was filed with the Busan District Court where the toxic chemical test was conducted on August 5th.”

The association disregarded domestic law and filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Army in Korea and Port Tetric (a biochemical laboratory under the U.S. Army) on charges of bringing in toxic substances three times between 2017 and 2019.

According to the data submitted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to the Office of Rep. Lee Jae-jeong of the Democratic Party (October 8, 2020), the USFK released lethal toxic substances into Korea three times in November 2017, October 2018, and January 2019. smuggled in

USFK conducted chemical and chemical tests on the smuggled toxic substances at Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek, Pyeongtaek US Air Base 51st Medical Squadron, Gunsan Air Base 8th Medical Support Unit, and Busan Port Pier 8 Sample Analysis Room.

The illegal importation of toxic substances by US forces in South Korea is not all there is to it. In 2015, it was revealed that anthrax was secretly imported and tested, and toxic substances were continuously smuggled into the Korean Peninsula through illegal methods.

Kim Hyun-joong, president of the Korea Fire Safety Education and Culture Association, said, “I condemn the toxic chemical experiments conducted in secret by the USFK. All of these substances are deadly and toxic substances. Domestic law strongly bans chemical and biological weapons, but the USFK ignored them.”

In the future, the association said, “The Korea Fire Safety Education and Culture Association, established to raise people’s safety awareness and spread a safety culture, will continue to engage in public safety activities not only for fire safety but also for all activities that impede public safety.” said.

In fact, according to the 「Act on the Prohibition of Chemical and Biological Weapons and the Manufacture, Import/Export Control, etc. of Specific Chemical Substances and Biological Agents, etc.」 The declaration of manufacture of toxins is explicitly stipulated.

In addition, according to the complaint submitted by the Association, Article 35, Paragraph 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea states “All citizens have the right to live in a healthy and comfortable environment” and “Prohibition of chemical and biological weapons and the manufacture of specific chemical substances and biological agents, etc.” ·The reason for the lawsuit is that the USFK did not comply with the Act on Import and Export Regulations, etc., the Act on the Prevention and Management of Infectious Diseases, and the Framework Act on Disaster and Safety Management.

The United States is a signatory to the Chemical Weapons Convention as an international treaty signed by the United Nations in Paris, France in January 1993. The UN Treaty on the Ban on Chemical Weapons was signed in April 1997 by 65 countries.
