first understand Why it was told by USA media then try to troll, Please...
It is published by new york times... Not Indian media.
I read the article after your above reply and have this analysis.
Agreed that it is by New York Times but it is a mix of talking about Modi government's hatred of Islam but it is also admiration and propaganda for Modi government and also presentation of the undeniable reality of deep ties between the Western bloc and the Indian establishment now led by Modi. Right here :
Those factors have contributed to buoyant projections that India, now No. 5, will be the world’s third-largest economy by 2030, behind only the United States and China.
On a recent visit to India, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that the United States wanted to “diversify away from countries that present geopolitical and security risks to our supply chain,”
singling out India as among “trusted trading partners.”
Do DPRK or Cuba ever claim that they want to Lumber 1 economy in the world like Indian nationalists do and Modi government does ? The American minister is clearly saying that USA governments wants to disconnect from goods production from China and import many things from India and for this it will of course do transfer of technology to India.
Below two things are contradictory not from the article's writer but in terms of world events :
“For many years, the United States did not stand by us, but Moscow has,” Amitabh Kant, who is responsible for India’s presidency of the Group of 20 that began this month, said in an interview. New Delhi has enough rivals, he said: “Try, on top of China and Pakistan, putting Russia against you!”
“Ukraine is certainly not seen here as something with a clear moral tale to tell,” Ms. Roy, the novelist, said. “When brown or Black people get bombed or shocked-and-awed, it does not matter, but with white people it is supposed to be different.”
This fellow, Amitabh Kant, is lying about USA not standing by with "India" because the phrase that Arundhati Roy uses - "Shock and Awe" comes from the 2003 invasion of Iraq by a coalition of militaries led by USA government and having British military, Australian military, Polish military, Ukrainian military and I think a few others too, would have been added by another component - Indian army. The then government of Vajpayee also of the BJP had readied 17,000 Indian army soldiers to deploy to Iraq to participate in the continued genocide of Iraqis being done by the American and British militaries and governments since 1990. The Indian contingent in 2003 would have been the second largest after the American. Those 17,000 Indian army soldiers were ready to go and their commanders would be under American, British and Australian commanders. It is only protests on the Indian street by citizens and in the parliament by opposition parties that made the government and the army roll back their such immoral decision. And from where did Indian nuclear weapons tech come from ? From USSR or Martians or the Vedas ? And what about the so-called indigenous Indian supercomputer
PARAM ? Indian nationalists claim that American government sanctioned India from purchasing the American supercomputer Cray so Indians built their own supercomputer. Really ???? So the
Inmos T800 / T805 transputers which were the computers' processors used in the PARAM 8000 were designed in BITS Pilani and manufactured in Bombay ? And the Intel i860 processors used in the next PARAM, 8600, were developed by the Indian company Intel ? So also for all the memory and permanent storage in these computers and the networking elements and the display terminals and so on. All Indian ?
Lastly :
India is in a delicate position. In the face of American criticism, the country chose to take part this year in Russian military exercises that included units from China. At the same time, India is part of a four-nation coalition known as the Quad that includes the United States, Japan and Australia and works for a “free and open Indo-Pacific.”
So, Amitabh Kant and the rest of the Modi government should do two things to help its "old friend Russia which has stood by us" :
1. Withdraw from the anti-China coalition the Quad because China is a partner of "old friend Russia" including in the current time of Russia's war against Zelensky's UkroNazis
2. Just like BJP-led Indian government of 2003 almost sent 17,000 soldiers to Iraq to fight alongside the USA-military-led coalition to murder Iraqis let the BJP-led government of 2022 correct the past by sending 17,000 Indian army soldiers to Ukraine to fight alongside Russia, Syria and soon-to-come Belarus and possibly DPRK against the UkroNazis of Zelensky and their NATO trainers and combatants and private psychos and mercenaries from elsewhere. After all, Russia is someone whom Amitabh Kant calls as having "stood by us" so shouldn't India help Russia in Russia's time of need ?
●Total exports of software services, including services delivered by foreign affiliates of Indian companies, increased by 15.9% during 2021-22 and stood at US$ 171.9 billion
●Exports of software services (excluding exports through commercial presence) are estimated to have increased by 17.2% to $156.7 billion during the fiscal
Thanks for the correct though I didn't understand why it was necessary but you prove my point actually.
Jaishankar and Amitabh Kant talking grandly about "India withstanding pressure from USA and European governments to stop supporting Russia" is all nonsense because it's not as if Indian software services to USA and Europe has been totally cut by Pragati Purush Modi jee, Supreme Leader of Vishwaguru Bharat because he said in 2016 in Goa during Putin's visit that Putin is "an old friend of India" and Modi jee repeated a Russian saying "An old friend is better than two new friends" :
Six years later, this year 2022, Modi didn't honor his words. What happened in 2022 days after the Russian operation started ? The Indian-government-owned State Bank of India prohibited any of its customers from transacting with any individual or business or organization connected with Russian government in any way and advised other government entities to do the same. And NR Narayana Murthy, co-founder of Infosys and the most prominent face of the company, arranged for Infosys' Moscow office to shut down most probably because of a word put into his ear by his son-in-law, Rishi Sunak, who then was Britain's finance minister. Things like this.
