Russian missile forces are effective enough to counter any carrier group. Maybe that's why they dont see it feasible to maintain a carrier force anymore.

Aircraft carrier is an important part of the equation for power projection ambitions in distant lands, but Russian economy is not up to the task.

Some people still mistake Russia for USSR, it is not. USSR had the economy of 16 Soviet Socialist Republics at its disposal but Russia no longer have this luxury. Although Russia is blessed with lot of natural resources - its population base is not large enough to ensure lasting growth, and Western sanctions continue to bite. Sad state of affairs.

In sharp contrast, USN is well-funded, well-managed, very advanced with incredible set-of-defenses, and will make short work of Russian Navy in a war - hypothetically speaking.

Missiles do not not make much difference on their own - entire platform does.

It is really embarassing to see how Chinese offer help for Russian aircraft carrier while ONLY CHINESE CARRIER was bought from Russia.

Or to be more precise, China dont know how to build carriers, and probably they will never learn.

From my perspective China will pay Japanese engineers to design new aircraft carriers bcos Chinese dont know how to make sophisticated products other then junk.

Your information is not updated. Chinese have 2 Aircraft Carrier now. And the latest is made by themselves. Not bought from anybody.
