Iraqi army is literally just about the weakest in the world. Russia can take Iraq within weeks with minimal casualty. At the end of the day, war is about whether or not you can take lebensraum, and the US failed miserably at that. After Spain America war when America took Guam and Puerto Rico, America hasn't been able to take more lebensraum, not even in backwater parts of the world.
