Russia has been regularly taking part in Abu Dhabi arms fairs since 1993. The Middle East is Russias second most significant export market. According to the results of 2012, 23% of all Russian foreign deliveries fell on that region, which is not the limit, expert Vasily Kashin believes.
We could rely on the positive results for the growth of our exports to the Middle East. Russia is still facing the task of diversifying exports and cutting down the share of China and India in our exports, so as not to depend on those large markets.
At present, eight Russian companies are on the list of 100 top arms manufacturers. This rating was compiled by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. All those companies are describing the technical specifications and demonstrating the performance of their innovations at the IDEX Arms Fair.
