That aircraft is a tank. It has one of the best safety record for its type and age. Most of them that crashed earlier had nothing to do with aircraft problems, but human errors.

yeah because it was 5 decades old!
It was in service with Aeroflot for over 4 decades!! can you name any other western aircraft flew that long for any airline?
