UR-77 is able to make passages frough antitank minefields during the battle. Passage width is about 6 meters, and length is 80 to 90 meters. Despite the fact that UR-77 is not designed for clearance of landmines, the installation may clear antipersonnel minefields from American mines push action M14, creating passages width up to 14 meters.

During the show of modern samples of automotive technology management Ministry of Defense, was first demonstrated a new upgrade BTR-82 with installation of remotely controlled weapons module (DUMV) new generation.
First unveiled version of the modernization armored at 3th landfill CRI Russian Defense Ministry Bronnitsy May 29, 2014 was called BTR-82A1.
The main difference of new combat module will be its autonomy, as it is controlled by the gunner or commander by electromechanical actuators. Observation and aiming is done using optoelectronic (low-level television) devices.
The main gun of combat module is rapid-fire 30 - mm gun with coaxial 7.62- mm machine gun PKTM . Also envisages installation of anti-personnel grenade and 6 aerosol ( smoke ) grenades.
Currently information about the developer as a combat unit and its specifications are kept secret .

According to military experts, this armored vehicle can be used not only in the structures of the Interior Ministry, but also in parts of the Russian army and the FSB.
