Russian Helicopters finds new partners in Brazil

Russian Helicopters holding company, forming part of Oboronprom Corporation, has signed a number of agreements regarding joint projects with Brazilian helicopter operators. The documents have been signed at LAAD 2011 show, taking place from April 12th to April 15th in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We also take into account the growing demand in helicopters of different types and modifications at Brazilian market and we are ready to develop the supply system and customer service of our helicopters».

Russian Helicopters and Brazilian investment group Qualy Group Brasil have signed an agreement on cooperation in promotion of Мi-34S1 in Brazil based on dealer agreement. The documents stipulate the possible delivery of 150 new light Russian Mi-34S1 helicopters until 2023. According to representatives of Qualy, new light Мi-34S1 may seem interesting to commercial companies and state operators, in particular, those who are taking part in preparation for Football World Cup 2014 and Olympics 2016 in Brazil.

According to the experts of Russian Helicopters holding, Mi-34S1 may be a popular helicopter for sport aviation. Besides sport aviation, Mi-34S1 may be used for corporate and private transportation, initial pilot training and different kinds of monitoring.

Russian Helicopters and Qualy Group Brasil plan to create maintenance, logistic and training center for the Brazilian fleet of Мi-34S1s.

Another agreement has been signed with Brazilian commercial helicopter operator Аtlas Taxi Aereo (subsidiary of Qualy Group Brasil) regarding the creation of service center for Мi-171А1 helicopters in Brazil. This center will provide the continued airworthiness of Russian helicopters in Brazil and will help them meet the requirements of Brazil’s largest companies including Petrobras Oil Company.

In addition, an agreement has been signed with Helipark Taxi Aereo, regarding the creation of service center for medium multi-role Ка-32А11VS helicopters. According to the experts of Russian Helicopters holding, the availability of service centers in the country will provide the complete support of Russian helicopters’ operation.

Another very important step is the beginning of dialogue between Russian Helicopters and Brazilian consulting company Logitec Consultoría em Logística Ltda in the area of cooperative promotion of Russian helicopters at the Brazilian market. The companies’ cooperation is aimed at the expansion of Russian helicopters at Brazilian market.

We remind you, that Russian multi-role Mi-171A1 helicopters have been acquired by Аtlas Taxi Aereo in November 2010 for carrying out work in accordance with Petrobras’ order. The contract on delivery of medium multi-role Ка-32А11VS helicopter has been signed with Helipark Taxi Aereo in December 2010. The first two Мi-171А1s and one Ка-32А11VS will be delivered in 2011.

In addition, according to the contract of Rosoboronexport, Mi-35 combat helicopters made by Rostvertol are being delivered to Brazil.
