On what basis are you taking population as a bench mark for firepower comparison?, in a real war russia will be comparitively short on tanks when compared to the america because here we have to think in terms of land mass each has to defend, russia is several times bigger than the Us so russia needs a lot more tanks to effectively defend her territory.

russia has not 1900 T-72B3... they have 1900 T-72 only 400 of them are T-72B3 the rest are older versions.
They have 350 T-90 A and K ... they signed late 2017 a update program to upgrade the 350 T-90 A and K into M (2017 version) +50 older T-72B to a total of 400 T-90M...all update programs have a timeline over the year 2020

They have more T-72 upgraded to T-72B3. The 400 was only the first batch done in 2013.
