Russia sold MiG-29 and Su-24 M to Iran in the 1990s. Russia and Iran have no problem with weapons trade.

Those were bought in the 1990s. The workers who made whose planes need new orders to keep working. Egypt haven't bought a single F-16 since the 1990s. Rafale and MiG-29 M2 were bought in recent years. Looks like Egypt phase out F-16.
