Presidents Vladimir Putin and Viktor Yanukovich will continue the dialogue about Ukraine’s possible joining the integration processes in the Eurasian space, the Kremlin press-service reports in connection with Ukrainian leader Viktor Yanukovich’s working visit to Moscow which begins on the 4th of March.
Ahead of his visit Yanukovich announced that Ukraine was hoping to become an observer in the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

During his meeting with Putin it is also planned to consider issues related to guaranteeing a stable dynamic growth of the bilateral economic cooperation.

The Kremlin press-service points out that Russian-Ukrainian relations are very dynamic and diverse.

In an interview with The Voice of Russia Sunday. Russian post-Soviet affairs expert Dr Alexei Vlasov said he does not expect the scheduled meeting of Presidents Vladimir Putin and Viktor Yanukovych in Moscow on Monday to produce agreements for Ukraine to join the Customs Union that already embraces Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

He dismissed Yanukovych’s promise to make Ukraine an observer member as an attempt to secure lower prices on Russian natural gas.
