The last Su-30SM fighter for state defense order 2018 has been delivered to the Russian Aerospace Forces
According to the spotters, on December 20-22, 2018, from Irkutsk to the location of the Khalino airfield (Kursk) flew a Su-30SM fighter jet with a tail number "62 red" (registration number RF-61773, serial number 10МК5 1602) - the the last fighter of this type, built at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAZ) of PJSC Irkut Corporation (part of United Aircraft Corporation JSC) for the state defense order in 2018. In total, the company delivered in 2018 to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation 14 Su-30SM, including 12 VKS Russia and two - for Russian Navy aviation.
This fighter with hull number "62 Red" became part of the 14th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment of the 105th Mixed Aviation Division of the 6th Leningrad Red Banner Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Western Military District at the airfield of Khalino (Kursk) as part of the rearmament of the regiment with the former " Algerian "MiG-29SMT fighters.
Earlier, in 2018, 11 new Su-30SM fighter jets, built for the Russian Aerospace Forces at the IAP for defense orders in 2018, arrived on the 14th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment in Kursk. On April 27, four fighters with red side numbers from 51 to 54 "(serial numbers from 10MK5 1509 to 10MK5 1512), on July 3, two more aircraft arrived with red onboard numbers" 55 "and" 56 "(estimated serial numbers 10MK5 1515 and 10MK5 1516), on September 8, four fighters with red board numbers "57", "58", "59" and "60" (registration numbers RF-81768, RF-8176 9, RF-81770 and RF-81771, respectively, the estimated serial numbers from 10MK5 1517 to 10MK5 1520), and on November 30, a fighter with a tail number "61 red" (serial number 10MK5 1601) arrived. In addition, in 2017, the 14th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment received 12 Su-30SM fighters built by the IAP (red side numbers from "71" to "82"), which made it possible to re-equip one regiment squadron from MiG-29SMT fighters. Now the total number of Su-30SM in the regiment has reached 24 and the staffing of the regiment of two squadrons has been completed.
Recall that in total since 2012, 116 Su-30SM aircraft were contracted for the Ministry of Defense of Russia, of which the Russian Aerospace Forces under the signed contracts have thus received a total of 92 Su-30SM fighters, and Naval Aviation - 22.
In total, according to the 2018 program, IAZ delivered 12 airplanes of the Su-30SM aircraft to the VKS, and two aircraft — Naval Aviation of the Russian Navy (the last two with blue side numbers “76” and “77” arrived on July 1 at the 72nd aviation base of the Baltic Fleet Chernyakhovsk airfield in the Kaliningrad region).
