Ahmedabad: The contentious issue of 'Love Jihad' has rocked the state of Gujarat. A SMS has gone viral on the social networking platform WhatsApp, enticing Muslim youths to marry girls belonging to other religions in return of cash reward.
The message circulated by 'Students of Muslim Youth Forum' encourages Muslim boys to trap girls from other communities in love and tie the knot.

The message says: “If a Muslim youth marries a Hindu Brahmin girl, he would be awarded with Rs 5 lakhs, similarly if someone gets hitched with a Sikh Punjabi girl, he would be given Rs 7 lakhs.”

“If the girl is from Kshatriya Hindu community, the cash reward would be Rs 4.5 lakhs, Gujarat Brahmin girl Rs 6 lakhs, Punjabi Hindu Rs 6 lakhs, Christian Roman Cathlolic Rs 4 lakhs, Christian Protestant Rs 3 lakhs, Jain Rs 3 lakhs, Gujarati Kutch girl Rs 3 lakhs.”




The message further gives four addresses from where the Muslim youth, who successfully marries a girl from another religion, can collect their reward.

It also mentions 11 phone numbers.



Meanwhile, the Vadodara Police has asked people to ignore such messages and apprise the authorities in case they receive it on their cell phones.

A probe has begun into the matter.

I wonder those Idiots did mention the address and phone numbers as well so to trace down. It’s nothing but to play with emotions of people living a poor life. The spammer knew that people are indeed in need of money and will do anything however reminds of pride and prejudice.

A girl's religion doesn't matter after marriage since the son gets surname from father. If Muslim men are marrying Hindus/Sikhs/Christians and not letting Muslim girls marry Hindu/Sikh/Christian men and killing female babies at or before birth, then its a problem. Otherwise who will marry leftover Muslim girls if men marry Hindu/Sikh/Christian. I hope inter religious marriages are promoted, but only on equal terms and only when no religion is intentionally killing female babies to have only male children.

Exactly...... for the sake of argument one need to think like them that if someone wants to hire a group of people for a job like this which is indeed against the law then the first thing will be done like no clues to be apprehended by the LEAs.
