ROKETSAN to Export TRG-300 KAPLAN Missile to Bangladesh

The composite version of Bora, 350+, metallic export version Khan had a range of 280 km and could carry much more effective warheads than these missiles. Most likely it was not recommended in order not to annoy China, but if Myanmar continues like this, you will need to source Bora or its equivalents from other countries.

.
Because of the increasing regional risks, the deterrency and industrial capabilities of Bangladesh needs to be expertized quickly. I hope all these deals are within the framework of comprehensive ToT and production ability works. Bangladesh is not an ordinary state but our east wing.

Ballistic Missiles gives you certain ranges of attack

I would like to remind you that the Turkish military doctrine used its MLRSs against moving targets and convoys in many operation past. These systems are actually stand out as artillery of network-centric warfare rather than only saturation attack. Therefore, fast response and precise strike will be gained at the tactical level.

I think Iranian ballistic missile is the best option for Bangladesh as for cruise missile they can buy from Turkey like SOM

Man neighboring countries are talking about 3000 km range, some even intercontinental.

I know MTCR limits GMLRS to 300 km (?) but we don't even have even 120 km range as a defensive measure.
BD should start its own program for ballistic missiles...
...it is among one of the most crucial things that a country should have in its arsenal. If North Korea can afford to build those...then BD should have no problems in that regard.

They are good but not everything..

They are good but not everything..
For any country that lacks the ability to project force at a distance...like a blue water navy, or a decent capability of strategic lift(aircrafts, paratroopers, and a decently strong air force to allow large planes carrying troops to be able to safely enter enemy airspace to drop those troops)...
...ballistic missiles are the next best thing to hit targets at a distance.
...not to mention a lot of other capabilities that can be built on top...some examples include
- antiship ballistic missiles like those of China, Iran, and Pakistan(in development).
- ICBMs
- MIRV
- if nukes are developed...then ballistic missiles can form the first strike(land based nuclear tipped missiles) and second strike(submarine based nuclear tipped missiles) capability.
- the military's ballistic missile tech can be used for civilian purposes to send satellites into space.

Note: I'm not saying that BD needs to have all these things...I'm saying that ballistic missiles are very useful as a weapon...generally speaking. They are versatile for engaging various targets on land and sea...and they form the basic element on which further advances rely on.

Well ofcourse they are useful but you need to strengthen everywhere sort of is what I meant

I agree , I feel like if we can move out of India's influence we can start buying major Turkish weapons , since our economy is growing even after Covid-19 I feel we will definitely will buy more weapons.

JV programs will be the best , Turkey however has to bid or fight harder in order to get deals from Bangladesh.

Also if Turkey can hurry up on t129s engines I think we will definitely buy it for sure , also there has been some speculation about Bangladesh buying Turkish medium range SAMs I think

Seriously though DTB said it first

It’s not money matter but manpower with technical knowledge of which they’re few and all our people in these fields work abroad.

Aziz the chad strikes again

Seriously promote this guy to Joint chiefs. If the poisition does not exist it BD then create it.

Give him 5 year contract. Aziz will whip the BD airforce in shape.

I am a strong proponent of upgrading AFD to a Joint Chief's office:

There was no violation by fighter jet, only halo.

Budget does not work that way. BAF faggots are cucks. AFD should be replaced with a proper Joint Chief's office which will dictate balance, integration and streamlining of the three forces. This office should also take over the R&D wings of the three forces for greater integration.
The three service chiefs would report into the Joint Chief of Staff. The office should also have one 3-star vice chief from each service and senior secretaries from PMO, MoD, MoP and MoF who would oversee interfaces.

If Hasina forms Joint Chief's office with Aziz in charge, can we call it Prime Minister's "Acu-men"?
@DalalErMaNodi @The Ronin @Michael Corleone

Ok, I am seeing myself out.
