Its the guy with black shirt and red letters on the first line. :D

So far the Dragon reached correct orbit. Perfect launch. They tried to land stage one so it can be reused. Hope that worked as well.

Nope he is american. We studied some semesters at same university. He was first working for ATK. Thats the corporation which builds Solid Rocket Boosters, like the ones for the Space Shuttle and the new SLS of NASA. He was kinda bored there, because its basicly just a giant firecracker. He is damn good in this stuff. He has a feeling for engines. He actually predicted the cause of the Cygnus explosion last year within seconds just for seeing how the exhaust flame changed.

His article catched the attention of some SpaceX guys and they hired him.

He is responsible for the turbopumps of the engines from stage II.

There was a member here who did successfully launch a rocket, took pics of outer space and then recovered the images from his camera and posted here.

Achievement. Check! :D

There is* ;)

P.S it didn't actually make it to space, but mid-stratosphere. Nevertheless you can still see the darkness and that was the goal. I'm quite happy that someone remembers it!

Its interesting. We talked about this few days ago at phone and he told me he is damn nervous.
Until now SpaceX did always cargo flights. Then they will transport astronauts. He said thats like a stone on his shoulders.

They never had a failure yet. But the entire system is so incredible complex. The starting sequence alone of the engine he is responsible for is so complex that the manual fills 15 books and an entire bookshelf. There is almost zero failure tolerance. Its one thing to have 2 tons of cargo there or 7 souls.

Thats something i never thought about to be honest.
