You really don't know the nature of problem in J&K do you? Omar is an idiotic politician who thinks in terms of how much influence he can spread as a neta. That clown has no clue about what problems the state is having. He will be the first to run away to where you stay right now, if something went wrong overnight. And our soldiers will have to slug it out all over again.

Please for heaven's sake, try to gain more knowledge about what is going on in J&K before being apologetic.

I have been to kashmir, talked to people there, and seen it first hand as a civilian. I did not like the CRPF deployed there. If a guy from different state did not like the troops even for few days(even though I know they are for my security) think about the locals.

Now that people want to have a dialogue and live in peace why station an army there and make people angry. If they are to be stationed, it has to be from defensive point of view (against pakistan) and not to maintain law and order.

Omar Abdullah is from elite, but as any politician he understands his people. Abdullahs did not run away during insurgency, and there is less chance of doing that now.

There are plenty of sane Kashmiris, but without Indian Army, they would be ruthlessly finished off by Pakistani Punjabi speaking illiterate Lashkar cadres, who are still infiltrating on a regular basis.

Abdullah is simply pandering to the Talibanized section of the population, a vocal and vicious minority, for the same reasons that a party like Congress panders to obscurantists like the Shahi Imam Bukhari.
