Seems like the writing on the wall's clear from the Kashmiris. Everybody believes that everyone's done enough, now India has to act, and resolve Kashmir. It takes two to tango.
Srinagar, Aug 8: Jammu and Kashmir National Front (NF) chairman Naeem Ahmad Khan on Tuesday asked India to shun stubbornness and give a positive response to the realistic overtures of Gen. Pervez Musharraf thereby to respect the wishes and aspirations of people.
Naeem, according to a statement, was addressing a meeting of NF members at the party headquarters here.
Commenting on present Indo-Pak relations, Naeem Khan said, ââ¬ÅIt is a golden opportunity for India to ponder upon the realistic overtures of Pakistani President Gen Musharraf with political maturity and keenness of mind and insight to remove the biggest hurdle coming in the way of resolving 57 year old Kashmir tangle. This can ensure viable peace in the subcontinent.ââ¬Â
Referring to the present strain at diplomatic level between India and Pakistan, Khan warned that if India continued its ââ¬Ëobduracyââ¬â¢ and demonstrated its ââ¬Ënon-seriousnessââ¬â¢ vis-a-vis Pakistanââ¬â¢s positive attitude, it (India) would be responsible for the resultant instability of peace in the subcontinent.
