Discovery Channel will air an exclusive one-hour programme on the 740 kilometer Line of Control (LoC), on 15th August at 9 PM - REVEALED: THE LINE OF CONTROL.

The programme looks at the formidable challenge of managing the treacherous frontline in that region starting from the plains and weaning its way into hills and jungle terrain and ending at the snowy heights short of a glacier.

In the programme, viewers will travel with the Indian officers and soldiers to understand how they defend the LoC, with training manoeuvres and border patrols. Moving along the LOC from Jammu till Poonch and then from Uri to Keran, where the terrain ranges from the plains near Jammu to hills and jungles, until the start of high altitude mountains north of Uri. The programme looks at what the LOC means in that sector.

Why? Are they more into saas bahu serials that they won't allow you to see this program? That sucks!

Tell them that knowledge of what's happening on the LoC is far more important than seeing those heavily made-up chicks on TV. This program is a first of its kind and being aired for the benefit of Indians who don't know what it's like to be in eyeball-to-eyeball contact with the adversary on the LoC. Saas bahus can wait!

They are able to see these soaps and sleep soundly only because of these brave troops guarding the frontiers.

Well...in my personal opinion no one can categorize intelligence agencies as number 1,2 or 3. I mean ISI, RAW ,CIA etc. all have achieved success in different times and in different mission and all of them have failed too...more than once....But all these successes or failures have never been brought in public or there is no standard to gauge there performance.....so we just can't compare them.
