The months of March and April 2002 witnessed the massacre of the Muslims in Gujarat, India.

This video shows the interviews of the people who were either related to the victims or those who witnessed the attacks. What’s shocking is that the Indian police were involved in the attacks as well. (example at 8:57 & 32:28 minutes)

Witness talks about the attack on the pregnant woman @ 2:54 minutes.

Its so heart breaking man; Why doesn't current Indian gov arrest the people responsible & try them for the crime against humanity? what kind of mixed messages are they sending? Either they care about the Gujarati Muslims or the don't.

The shocking thing is that the police were involved in the crime too.

Yes it was very sad time for India, But still it was not that the aggravated people asked for asylum in neighboring country.

I agree, People over here have only one way of looking at things, Thier way.
Riots have happened, I am just sad the politics in the country is in such a turmoil that we are not in a position to put Modi in for improper handling of the situation. And other people responsible for it. Sad day indeed.

.
Things that happened in Gujarat cannot be justified, but it all happened because of a reason.

.
Its a sad day, and modi is a bastard, but why do we KEEP bringing this topic up?

Gujarat riot victims say police failed in their duty

22-07-2003

Ahmedabad, Press Trust of India:

More Gujarat riot victims on Tuesday complained before the Nanavati Commission that police had failed to carry out their duty during the violence and had even told them to "protect themselves."

As many as 120 persons, mostly of minority community, deposed before the two-man riot inquiry commission in Ahmedabad on the last day of recording of statements for the first phase.

Owing to a large turnout of victims from the mixed population area of Madhavpura, the Commission, comprising Justice (Retd) GT Nanavati and Justice (Retd) KG Shah, recorded statements of victims after dividing them into batches so that most of them could be heard.

Many women turned up for deposition and some of them complained that police in their localities had failed to prevent mobs from going on the rampage during the communal riots.

Noorjahan Pathan, a victim from Madhavpura, told the Commission that on February 28, the day VHP had given a call for Gujarat bandh, a mob comprising 5,000 persons went on the rampage in her locality and when she contacted police for help, they told her "to protect themselves".

"The mob, comprising Hindu youth from my area also, attempted to tear off my clothes and threw me onto a burning scooter. They even robbed my ornaments," Noorjahan said.

Yesterday, a witness had claimed that when he called the police commissioner and asked for help, the latter replied that he could not do so as he was not God.

There are refugee camps in Azad Kashmir for those people who were tortured and targeted by Indian Army. They have lot of horrifying stories to tell.

Bangladesh was in a state of war, can you visulise all out war.
Ask those who live at borders, south Indians were way too far.
You can guess the coletral damage by below example of one bomb.
Some of my family members were travelling on a bus in 1965 near Kasur, one bomb from Indian aircraft and whole bus was on fire and almost 80% dead and 100% injured.

What you are saying is 3 million dead was your justification of every day genocide or you don't count 5000 dead in two days a genocide.

BTW, is moody still a free man?
