Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar on Saturday said the battle-hardened armed forces of the country were capable and ever-ready to meet internal and external challenges.

“Our valiant armed forces are fully ready to respond befittingly in case of any misadventure,” said the air chief while addressing the passing-out parade of cadets held at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul.

The passed out cadets were of 140th PMA Long Course, 31st Technical Graduate Course, 59th Integrated Course and 38th Graduate Course. Cadets from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Bahrain and Sri Lanka were also among the passed out courses. The chief of air staff congratulated the passing-out cadets and their parents for successful completion of training and commission into service.

The CAS said Pakistan armed forces took pride in their sacrifices against war on terror and bringing peace and normalcy in the country, advising the passing out cadets to remember that they had to come up to the expectations of the nation by attaining the highest standards of professional excellence and personal conduct.

Anwar Khan, being chief guest at the ceremony, reviewed the parade and gave away awards to distinguished cadets.

The coveted Sword of Honour was awarded to Battalion Senior Under Officer Usman Shahid. The President’s Gold Medal was given to Company Senior Under Officer Qasim Ayub, and the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal awarded to Under Officer Al Bazour from Palestine.

We need to be realistic, Rafael and S400 are tilting the balance in favour of India. There is a difference between ready to meet and ready to defeat the Indians. With the Nazis next door we need to shift to weaponisation and defense manufacturing like we have never done before.

This is where the PAF is different (in a wrong way) then every single other airforce ACM in the world. Other ACMs say, they have threat issues, aging airframes and need new airframes to mee the challenges required to perform the duty. They make their case to the goverment and to the people ...

The PAF says that his 50year old Mirage rust buckets, his end of life F7 fleet, his aging F16 fleet is good enough and that he doesn't need anything else and he can meet the challenge of the IAF with their incoming Rafales, S400s, Su30s(ago, not as good as they were made out to be!) and upgraded M2k-9's and upgraded Mig 29s ? Seriously man, fight your corner and you may get something !!!!!!!!!!!

Is this the root reason why PAF gets so little interms of resources and why there isn't a new procurement of any new platform since the JF17 came along?? Sounds like it..

no sane military leader exposes his force's weaknesses in front of whole nation. in discussion with their leaders they talk about their weaknesses and plans for upgrading.you have to keep the morale of your young officers and troops high.
