it is amazing to see how rapidly chinese are developing...are there any side effects of such rapid development?

Rapid growth of cities but it is resulting in desertification and ground water shortage leading to drought, starvation, thirst, no bathing for six months.

The changing of course of rivers is also causing huge problems since they are not being thought through.
