LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah termed Federal Law Minister Dr Babar Awan as Abu Jahl of lawyers fraternity, Geo News reported Wednesday.
Talking to media outside Punjab Assembly, he said the federal law minister is misleading the government and making a scene for nothing.
Rana Sanaullah said former President Gen (rtd) Pervez Musharraf has gone crazy, and his statement regarding militant outfits is baseless.
Treason forms the basic essence of Musharraf that is coming out by and by, he stressed.
The Punjab law minister said the local bodies elections were promised to be held in 90 days; however, this promise would be fulfilled in 365 days and Punjab Assembly is legislating to the effect.
The power to hold local bodies elections is being delegated to Election Commission by introducing a new amended bill, he informed.
