Ramzan is not just a religious event in Pakistan, it has become a part of our culture and heritage too.

Throughout the month I will be posting, and I ask the users to post Quranic ayat, sayings of prophet, scholars etc. It doesn't necessarily have to be with fasting or ramzan, anything that motivates you to be a better muslim.

Users are asked to post only the mentioned posts and not start a religious debate or idle talk.

Allah will personally reward the person who fasts.

Abu Hurairah relates that the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Allah, the Lord of Honor and glory says: All other deeds of man are for himself, but his fasting is purely for Me and I shall reward him for it. The fast is a shield. When any of you is fasting he should abstain from loose talk and noisy exchanges. Should anyone revile him or seek to pick a quarrel with him, he should respond with: I am observing a fast. By Him in Whose hands is the life of Muhammad, the breath of one who is fasting is purer in the sight of Allah than the fragrance of musk. One who fasts experiences two joys: he is joyful when he breaks his fast, and he is joyful by virtue of his fast when he meets his Lord" (Bukhari and Muslim).

2.
Sa'ad Ibn Sahl relates that the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "There is a gate of Paradise called Rayyan through which only those will enter on the Day of Judgment who are regular in observing the fast and no one else. A call will go forth: Where are those who observed the fast regularly? And they will step forth and no one beside them will enter through that gate. After they shall have entered, the gate will be closed and no one else will enter thereby" (Bukhari and Muslim).

Would we like to spend just a single afternoon working? Would we trade our afternoon for eternity if we could?

"It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof." Quran: 79:46

We should work towards protecting ourselves from regret that day. It's just an afternoon, is it too much to ask for?

We like to leave Islam for old age. According to a Persian saying "Even wolves repent when they reach old age". Instead of taking time out of worldly affairs for deen, we take out time for worldly affairs from deen.

We shouldn't sell ourselves cheap.

Prophet said that if a man falls in prostration from his birth to his death in obedience to Allah, he would still scorn his deeds on day of judgement and would want to go back to gather more.

In this world when we decide to go into a profession we need to make an appropriate CV showcasing our achievements.

- Did Masters from University of Blah with Honors.
Credits :
Economics: 80/80
Business: 30/30
Banking: 40/40
- Volunteers at a hospital for disabled
- Member of blah blah

What happens when you ask for a job without having a qualification?!!
Can a Lawyers firm hire you without you having even the bachelors/masters? Will it matter how passionate you are about being a lawyer and have wanted to be one since birth? Will they let you fly a plane without a pilots license?

Why do we think we can get into Paradise without meeting the minimum requirements?
What will our CV look on that day?

Namaz: 3960/127750 (if you live to be 85)
Looks like we said eid and friday prayers at least

Fasting: 300/2100

Zakat: 0.01/2.5% of annual savings.

Hajj:

Then the extracurriculars:

Sadqah
Nafl Salah
Nafl Fasting
Jihad
Tabligh
Umrah
etc

We should at least try to meet the minimum requirements. Our credits are seriously lacking.
