There are only a very few Human Beings that had the qualities that could impress me, but you said, "words that changed your life". I am hard as stone, not the best of quotes seem that much impressive to me, sans few and far apart. but there is something I still feel inside my heart, words that really have "changed my life". Since, these are important to me, I hope the Original Poster "xebex" wont mind :

Literal meaning: An old patient is better than a new doctor.

Translation: This stems from a suspicion of inexperienced and untested people with education vis-a-vis wise, familiar and old fellows of dubious qualifications.
