Qatar ‘playing the role of regional power’ slams Israeli settlements

The Emir of Qatar embraced the Hamas leadership of Gaza on Tuesday with an official visit that broke the isolation of the Palestinian Islamist movement, to the dismay of Israel and rival, Western-backed Palestinian leaders By visiting the Hamas-ruled Gaza on Tuesday, Qatar’s emir demonstrated a long-standing policy of boosting both the regional influence of his state, analysts said.
“Qatar saw the Arab revolutions as an opportunity rather than a threat,” said Brookings Doha director Salman Shaikh.
“They understood where the centre of gravity of the region is, instead of the others who were trying to maintain the old order.”
According to Shaikh, Qatar’s support for the Islamists is “not purely dogmatic or ideological.”
The Gulf state has “built relationships over decades” with the Islamists because “there was a feeling these people had integrity and capability compared.”
Since his rise to power in 1995, Shaikh Hamad has hosted several Islamist leaders while Qatar’s Al Jazeera pan-Arab news broadcaster has provided an open platform for them to air their views.

I wish that by the Grace of Almighty ALLAH Qatar, Bahrain and followed by Kuwait will become part of Saudi Arabia and this new state will be named as United Arab States or any Arabic name that refers to similar meanings. INSHA ALLAH that will happen soon. So then we will INSHA ALLAH see their power in every way. Ameen. Pray Muslims for this.

. .
Its so easy to take on Israel. Arabs, who are the neighbours can easily surround them (from north, south, east, and west) The reason why its not happening is cuz they are not interested, which makes it sound like they have given up or have been sold.
