PESHAWAR - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Nawaz Sharif Friday asserted that elections would be held on time and few thousand people could not snatch the right of 180 million.Talking to reporters in Peshawar, Nawaz said that Tahirul Qadri, chairman of Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran, was trying to push the country into a chaos. "Why Tahirul Qadri is asking poor people to sell their valuables in the name of Islam? This is unacceptable and very tragic, said Nawaz, who went to the Bilour House to condole the family of slain ANP leader Bashir Ahmad Bilour. What kind of politics it is to ask poor people to sell their livelihood and to spend that money on long march, organising public meetings and doing politics, he said. It is regrettable.Criticising the Minhajul Quran chief, Nawaz said how could Qadri call himself Shaikhul Islam? "We even feel fear to say ourselves as khadim-e-islam because it is self-praise." The former premier said that the PML-N wanted prosperity and progress of the common man while Qadri wanted disruption in the country. PML-N wants to promote a culture of fair politics and end to hypocrisy, he added. He said that he was unable to comprehend the philosophy of coalition partners of the PPP who had announced to join Qadris long march. He said whether the MQM was going to march against its own ministers. Nawaz said that voters should think abou the switching of the PML-Q and MQM before voting for them. He stressed that all political forces should get united to bring the country out of the precarious situation. He opined that all institutions should be taken on board on security in the country. Earlier, he expressed condolence over the death of Bashir Ahmad Bilour with his elder brother Federal Minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, sons Usman Bilour and Haroon Bilour. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain was also present there. Nawaz said that Bashir Ahmad Bilour was a brave and courageous politician, who always remained in forefront against terrorism.
