Well driving trucks on long routes is not an easy thing,it,s the job of tough bodies and tough minds.Sikhs are definitely hardworking and tough people.Many long route drivers also complain about back bone pain and hernia so there are medical complications as well.
In india and pakistan long route truck drivers can,t work without bribing major police stations and points in their way.Also there are some brutal fights and risk of getting looted by robbers at night.Though in canada and USA it,s a comparatively easy job with good money and i think that,s why it,s appealing to indian punjabi drivers.
