That's what I was thinking! Is road building that technical that the Pakistani companies are incapable of constructing? Or is it going to be a super 12 lane highway like the autobhans of Germany?

And are the workers for these projects going to be Chinese or locals?

NLC, FWO, Habib Construction, Maaksons etc...aren't they fit for it?

Per the international procurement standards, that are audit-able and have accountability, even half a mile road requires an RFP and or MOU's. You write down scope of the project, cost,etc, etc and everyone signs off on it. You also assign accountability and contingency i.e. the comfortable level within which a project may be delayed. After which, the delaying party pays for the delay. These are common business practices.
In this case, the Chinese and the Punjab gov't is following the right protocol and after the contract is done, there will be audits as everything is on the paper. You guys should be glad he didn't award the contract to some Joe Blow that's cousins with him.....likes of what Pakistanis see on daily basis unfortunately.
If someone is doing the right thing, at least give him some credit.

The Ring Road is presently built on the Western, Northern, and Eastern side.
