Punjab govt, China firm sign MoU for Ring Road construction

They need "MoU' from "International Chinese firm" to build a local road in one city? :woot:

PML(N) Zindabad.
R.I.P Pakistan.

Its smarter to seek investment than to spend billions from your own pocket. Perhaps you need to get your eyes checked. There seems to be a complete package for transportation. Chinese are interested in Monorail and Metro also lol

Surely Punjab Govt is not like KPK Government. It has experience and knows how to deal with business far maturely ;)

Yeah...thats why after governing Punjab for 25 years...PML(N) has turned punjab into a middle-class, urbanized, high-tech province of Pakistan with very less poverty, great stability, and vibrant culture.

Oh wait...

Nevermind.

Idiots will be idiots....Pakistani Punjab used to be ahead of Indian Punjab...and now its far behind. Go figure.

The *best* era of Punjab was under Pervez Elahi...no doubt about that!

All of the above is correct. And i mean to say as compare to other Provinces of Pakistan

Trolling ? If Indian Punjab is in your mind, go create a new thread. We will see what it is.

Ah Pervez Elahi. The era of corruption. Given two chances, people were smart to refuse to elect his party. If i'm not wrong, they have only 1 seat lol. They couldn't even do jack in their Gujrat hometown.

It should have been completed in Pervaiz Elahi's era, but then things got awkward and then pmln took away the funds and invested elsewhere, now beggars on their way !

nonetheless, it was one of the best projects ever happened to Lahore, its completion will definitely benefit.. no further delay

Welcome to Roshan Pakistan of PML-N where govt can't build a simple 30 km road.. :woot: Pervez Elahi was able to construct 55 km of this road, and Showbaz Speed can't construct remaining 30 km when the main foundation is already laid..

Yeah...a highly illiterate, clan-based, and repetitive vote bank of Punjab is very "smart"...no wonder it is such a high-tech paradise with security, prosperity, and stability...

"Smart People of Punjab" voted a veteran business family to power in a free-market system....Indeed very "smart"....

Political Sociology 101 : In a capitalist based, free-market system...NEVER let a major businessman (capitalist) come to power. Its kinda like Jews voting Hitler to power to protect Jewish interests... (and the class laughed)...

My "not-so-bright" professor once told us, the "dumb" students of one of the top ten public universities of America!

But then again, what do best and brightest Western Academia and intellectuals know about state-craft? "Smart Punjabis" of Pakistan have all figured it out.

Tab hi to West is a "pisshole" while Punjab is sooooooooooooooooo ahead of others in prosperity, technology, stability, economic output, and HDI....

:laughcry:

Whats with all these MoUs. Has any progress been made on the MoUs that were signed last year between China-Pakistan, does anyone keep a track?

Reminds me of this article.

View from McLeod Road: Why the Sino-Pak alliance is economically worthless – The Express Tribune

They even did a couple of shows on this in the Pakistani Media & the consensus appeared to be was that presence of the PPP Government had many of the MOUs shelved - Apparently a certain smiling fellow wasn't called Mr.10% for nothing & when hes got his goons all around him...the percentage grows exponentially more ! Then there was severe bureaucratic mishandling & moronic red-tape that has kept Chinese Investment in so many areas to fizzle out & then finally bail out of Pakistan - One of such Projects mentioned were the Thar Coal Projects & Coal Power Generation where Bureaucratic BS on some slight pricing issue had the Chinese loose their entire preliminary investment for the feasibility & the sort before them saying adios to the Project once & for all !

The PML N on the other hand has always instilled the Business Community with a lot of confidence; in fact a few weeks into their Government some of the Projects have kick-started again along with 2-3 Saudi & Chinese Loans that were on hold were released for the relevant projects.

So it wouldn't be an unfair assumption that these MOUs would be brought to fruition especially when the Center has the same Government as the Province.

sad to see we couldnt build a single ring road on our own that too of 26km :laughcry: i feel pity on the mentality of noora supporters they feel so proud over importing scooties solar panels and laptops type lolipops but they dont think why dnt their leadership trys to bring foreign companies to assemble these things in pakistan :S and giving contract of ring road to chinese firm is another shity idea of nooras

cant you people of PTI get a shithouse somewhere to whine about PMLN instead os wasting valuable space on the internet
