Public Pulse on 3 Years of Imran Khan’s Government

I disagree
Election management will make or break the next election
His performance been pathetic. Forget the economy, he couldnt even bring in basic reforms that he promised. No police reforms, no bureaucratic reforms, no judicial reforms, no local governance reforms, no health system reforms, no handle on corruption. The funny thing is he used to scream and shout and claimed he will bring these reforms in no time. Heck this idiot couldnt even fix cricket, which is his main speciality, the other being uttering BS.

You don't consider Free health insurance as a health system reform? I agree he promised the world and isn't really delivering as much, sometimes I think PTI is behaving like a large NGO rather than a Govt. I think healthcare is a big deal though surely?

I don't live in Pakistan, so i'm interested in your view. Are you eligible for the health cover?

He is probably a baboon leagi supporter who think subsidizing imports and consumption is taraki
First of all the sample size is too small, only 1200 people across 4 provinces and that too broken between urban and rural. Sample size of atleast 10k would have given a more accurate picture.

Secondly Punjabis not bwing happy wasn't unexpected as CM Buzdar is the biggest blunder of PMIK. And Pukhtoons being happiest is also not a surprise. However the shocking part for me is the positive response from Baloch which is even higher than Urdu speakers and the positive response from rural sindh beating urban Sindh.
South and Central Punjabis have differing opinion on Buzdar and this government
The view of Lahore and mazafat isnt universal view of entire Punjab

Hold your horses bro. It is a good report. Far better than expected.

48% is a very good number performance given the economic realities he inherited and COVID shock. I see him crossing 50% easily as pro growth policies continue and major initiatives like health card and increased development spending in Punjab especially.

If we were in a precedential system he will win hands down. In a parliamentary system if he retains the electables its a win in 2023.

We have absorbed the devaluation impact and resulting inflation and other containment policies which was huge. Only thing left is the inflationary commodity cycle which will ease out by the end of year.

MEDIA needs a leesh for propaganda, that's all.

SBP reforms, Health reforms, Corruption I see improvement, Foreign policy. Developmental reforms.

And in none of the parameters good performance numbers are less than bad performance.

Judiciary is a basic problem and corruption is directly linked to it. Only a Purge can bring positive results which is beyond government power. He does not possess 2/3 majority to bring in sweeping reforms. Punjab police just needs depoliticization which is happening gradually.

Also with no major political crisis insight PTI could easily go hard in the last year shifting opinions just enough to win a second term

I have always said minority has ruled majority in Pakistan.

how many of these gallupeers voted in 2018?

He will get a drubbing in urban Punjab if the current inflationary trends continue.
He still can be PM even if central punjab rejects him again that being said he will still win bonus seats from central punjab

He doesn't enjoy simple majority and has a coalition govt, so reforms were never going to be easy.

Heck this idiot couldnt even fix cricket

I'm with you on this.

I support Imran Khan ...but sometimes when I talk to families in Pakistan ... their reaction is very much ...

So ur brain tells u anyone criticising govt is a pmln supporter? As such u ppl can ignore facts, or avoid replying with facts and just brush it off? Didnt patwari and jiyalas do the sme thing? No answer to allegations of corruption but allegations on others as a reply, u guys a sit seems have become like them. Our society just keeps producing new types of brain dead zombies.

Well the health insurance did help people but it was a stupid shortcut. The govt health system, the BHUs, DHUs and govt hospitals are all still pathetic. There is no change in their quality of service. The health insurance includes major medical treatments only and most of that insurance money goes to private hospitals included in the health insurance program because when treatment is free, no one goes to govt hospitals. So this kind of provided the private hospitals with a jackpot and their owners became more rich. The govt hospitals remain pathetic. If the sector was properly reformed, most of the insurance money would have gone to govt hospitals, which in turn would have helped them improve further. Its like the previous govts, providing more money to the rich and no long term permanent solutions.

Its actually a better idea as government doctors have secure jobs and they can get complacent
Private institutions dont have that luxury so their staff tends to be more professional and this factor alone makes for a much better experience for end user

Actually no, my brain cells tells me that if its not PTI then there is only one other party that can come into power, and that party isn't PPP as they only have support in interior Sindh, its not JI or JUI, its not MQM, ANP, QWP or PkMAP as they are ethnic based parties, so that leaves only PMLN. So if people are unhappy and find PMIK to be an idiot that means they will be happier under PMLN.

I being a citizen of a swing district may tell a thing or two. In 2008 all seats went to PPP. In 2013 1 ind and all others to Pml n. 2018 1 pmln 1 pti with 1 mpa for pti and 1 for pml q. But now it looks like pti is in complete disarray. No local team of any sort. No engaging to masses of any kind. If this trend continues I am afraid pti will not succeed in most of central punjab cities.
