PTI ripostes to PML(n) absurd statements
ISLAMABAD (March 28, 2011) The Secretary of the PTI for Political Affairs Ghulam Akbar has, in a Press Statement, taken exception to the statements of both Senator Pervez Rashid and Rana Sanaullah Khan of the PML-N about Imran Khan's analysis of the potential of Indian cricket team in the world cup tournament 2011. Since when have these Johnnies become cricket experts? He asked.
Imran Khan, no doubt has given a statement as an expert of cricket that owing to its strong batting line-up India can be considered as hot favourite but he has also said that if Pakistan maintained its present tempo it will win the cup.
Ghulam Akbar in response to Rana Sanaullah's statement that Imran Khan had better leave politics and become a cricket coach has suggested to him to arrange coaching classes for his party leaders because the nation cannot afford that leadership in future which is bereft of knowledge and common sense. He further said that if somebody wants to compare the caliber of the leadership of the PTI and the PML [N] he had better arrange an open debate between them on television so that wheat could be separated from chaff.
Ghulam Akbar further said that the growing popularity of PTI Chairman Imran Khan has made PML-N leader’s nights sleepless that is why they are indulging in sick statements. But this will not cut an ice, he added.
