I would truly kiss Imran Khan's feet for this move. PTI even has a policy for people with special needs as well. No other party has ever stood up for the rights of people with disabilities. Knowing or having someone close with such needs I am truly impressed by this.

Special people are as much a part of the country as anyone else and in Canada there are workshops for them where they learn arts and basic means of living. They earn by themselves and complete their college education. This should happen in Pakistan as well. Very welcome move. Can I read about what was discussed today somewhere @Leader?

You do know the term 'Special People' is derogatory for those with disabilities, right?

I have someone in the family with it... even I have ADD though there is nothing special about me and it isn't a real issue. Special is a better word than handicapped, down syndrome, disabled or the plethora of words found that refer to people with special needs. Of all the words special is the best.

Yes, and PTI is the only party that has a special people's wing..

I remember an article from ET, a guy wrote about life of such people.

Let me find it for you..

Dr shah lost his legs in Benazir bhutto's assassination, he later joined PTI.

Indeed he is a great leader ... I haven't heard something like this before ....

@haviZsultan it was live streamed, so far no video or slides.

but I have a problem here with how PTI made this policy, I think its by Dr Shah,

actually the policy should have been by professionals, this subject requires a very comprehensive policy, it needs to be prepared by professionals, because disabilities can be dozens of the times, and of different age groups, so to cater the whole lot, it needs professional policy making, not just random goodie goodie talk by Dr Shah or Imran Khan.

P.S. nonetheless atleast someone cared. its a step forward least to say..

We have about 15% special people out of the total population in Pakistan and yet have no facilities for them, Are we blind? - Imran Khan.

It is still a welcome first step... in the future we will hopefully see a new policy devised by professionals in the field.
