Can someone please tell me what it is wrong with this guy? First he was adamant on giving Taliban a office in Peshawar and asking for the Army to withdraw from the Tribal agencies so the TTP could rule it, now he gets in bed with TTP's political wing. Was he dropped as a child or does he really have a soft spot for certain types of groups?

Pagal Khan hai. He is trying to use diplomacy to make TTP change their ways but he is new and will learn soon that you cannot talk to these TTP goons.

He's racist to the core. As long as you are a pathan, you can get away with murder in the eyes of Imran Khan.

I would not go out to say that he's racist or Pashtun centric. But it increasingly looks like he has soft spots for certain types of groups over others. If he's really worried about missing people like the ones PTM claims to speak up about, I can put him in touch with dozens of Urdu speaking families who's kids have been missing since the 1990s. But I very much doubt he will be as eager to placate them...

I don't believe he's new or stupid to know that groups like PTM pop up regularly and pretend to speak for grievances of an ethnic group while being backed by certain foreign countries. I am having a difficult time understanding this particular move. Maybe a PTI supporter can shed more light on it. (I don't mean to patronize any PTI supporters/members, I am genuinely interested to hear what they think about the rationale behind this particular move.)
