PSDP 2019-20: Rs 611.83 billion released for development projects

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has released Rs611.83 billion (87.2 percent) including Rs121.24 billion foreign aid (94.5 percent) for various ongoing and new development projects under the Public-Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2019-2020 against the total budgeted allocation of Rs701 billion.

According to the latest PSDP data 2019-2020 released by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms on Friday, the government released Rs272.34 billion (87 percent) including Rs18 billion foreign aid for development projects of various ministries, divisions and related departments out of Rs313.6 billion budgeted allocation.

The government also released a total of Rs194.18 billion (102.15 percent) including Rs96.6 billion (106 percent) foreign aid out of Rs190.1 billion for development budget of corporations, which released more Rs4.1 billion (2.15 percent) of total budgeted allocation; Rs173.5 billion including Rs78.74 billion foreign aid out of Rs154.966 billion, which is Rs18.53 billion more releases out of total entire budgeted amount for the projects of the National Highways Authority (NHA); and Rs20.7 billion including Rs17.86 billion foreign aid for National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC)/Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) out of Rs35.16 billion.

The ministry released a total of Rs43.56 billion (94 percent) including Rs4.58 billion foreign aid out of Rs44.28 billion budgeted allocation for development projects of special areas; Rs27.22 billion including Rs3.25 billion foreign aid for development projects of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK); and Rs16.34 billion including Rs1.3 billion foreign aid for Gilgit-Baltistan for financial year 2019-2020.

The government released Rs7.65 billion including Rs1.3 billion foreign aid out of Rs9.22 billion for development projects of the National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division.

A total of Rs35.16 billion out of Rs36 billion have been released for the Cabinet Division.

The government released Rs49.74 billion for security enhancement against Rs53 billion budgeted allocation for financial year 2019-2020.

The Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms released Rs10.03 billion for development projects of the Railway Division against Rs12.57 billion budgeted allocation, Rs1.76 billion for development projects of Science and Technology Research Division, and Rs8 billion for the National Food Security and Research Division.

The government has released Rs3.53 billion for development projects of the Federal Education and Professional Training Division out of Rs4.14 billion budgeted allocation, and Rs28.29 billion including Rs148.15 million foreign aid have been released out of Rs28.65 billion for the development projects of the Higher Education Commission.

The ministry released a total of Rs103.1 billion for the Water Resources Division including Rs7.69 billion foreign aid, and Rs270.47 million for the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority.

The government has released Rs7.5 billion for development projects of the Climate Change Division.

The government has released Rs8.4 billion for development projects of Interior Division, Rs5.84 billion for Revenue Division, Rs2.9 billion for Housing and Works Division, Rs7.21 billion for Finance Division, Rs5.17 billion for Information Technology and Telecom Division, Rs1.86 billion for Aviation Division, and Rs1.7 billion for Defense Production Division.

A total of Rs23 billion have been released out of Rs48 billion for development project of Merged Areas 10 Years Development Plan, and Rs14.87 billon against Rs24 billion for the merged districts of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Over Rs319bn released for uplift projects under PSDP

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has so far released Rs319.56 billion for various ongoing and new social sector uplift projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2020-21.

According to data released by the Ministry of Planning, a sum of Rs207.17 billion has been released for federal ministries, Rs87 billion for corporations, Rs25.25 billion for special areas, and Rs750 million for the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA), as against the allocation of Rs1.5 billion.
Similarly, an amount of Rs55.2 billion, out of PSDP’s allocation of Rs118.67 billion, has been released for the National Highway Authority (NHA); Rs31.8 billion, out of Rs158.3 billion, has been released for the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC); and Rs45 billion, out of Rs81.2 billion, has been released for the Water Resources Division.

In addition, Rs14 billion, out of the allocated fund of Rs29.4 billion, have been disbursed to the Higher Education Commission (HEC), while Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) received Rs175 million out of the total allocation of Rs350 million.

Furthermore, the Railways Division has received development funds of Rs11.7 billion, Interior Division Rs7.38 billion, National Health Services Division Rs7.4 billion, Revenue Division Rs4.6 billion, while the Cabinet Division was provided with Rs38.2 billion.

The government also released Rs13.99 billion (PSDP allocation Rs27.24 billion) for development projects in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Rs11.26 billion (PSDP allocation Rs25 billion) for uplift projects in Gilgit Baltistan (GB).

ISLAMABAD, Feb 16 (APP):The federal government has released Rs 476.618 billion for various ongoing and new social sector uplift projects till date under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2020-21.
The released funds include Rs300.06 billion for federal ministries, Rs135.64 billion for corporations, Rs39.7 billion for special areas, and Rs1.2 billion for the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA), according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform.
The total PSDP allocation for ERRA for the year 2020-21 is Rs1.5 billion.

Similarly, Rs98.082 billion out of PSDP allocation of Rs118.67 billion has been released for the National Highway Authority, Rs37.56 billion out of Rs158.3 billion for the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), and Rs63.88 billion out of Rs81.2 billion for the for the Water Resources Division.

Likewise, Rs22.48 billion out of allocated fund of Rs29.4 billion has been disbursed to the Higher Education Commission, Rs258.96 million out of Rs350 million to the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
The Railways Division has received development funds of Rs18.8 billion, the Interior Division Rs11.8 billion and the National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination Division received Rs10.78 billion.

Similarly, the Revenue Division has got Rs6.46 billion, and the Cabinet Division Rs46 billion. Likewise, the government also released Rs21.53 billion out of PSDP allocation of Rs27.24 billion for development projects in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Rs 18.18 billion out of Rs. 25 billion for Gilgit Baltistan projects.
