Tehran (AFP) – Iran said Saturday it is reviewing a decades-old law that requires women to cover their heads, as it struggles to quell more than two months of protests linked to the dress code.

Protests have swept Iran since the September 16 death in custody of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian of Kurdish origin arrested by the morality police for allegedly flouting the sharia-based law.

Demonstrators have burned their head coverings and shouted anti-government slogans. Since Amini's death, a growing number of women have not been observing hijab, particularly in Tehran's fashionable north.

"Both parliament and the judiciary are working (on the issue)" of whether the law needs any changes, Iran's attorney general Mohammad Jafar Montazeri said.

. . . .
They have apparently scrapped their morality police thing
The probability of a change is pretty less they can always rename it or reinstitute it in some other form so dunno what'll be the reaction of the populace there.

Hijab enforcement law by government is different with Hijab law in Islam. You need to separate that. Wearing Hijab doesnt mean you will become ugly

Like Olla Ramlan.

Chinese members against headscarf must be SHEIN shareholders and that explains their opinion.

Yeah, Shein is peddling toxic junk everywhere.

Still better than overpriced other clothes expensive brands junk.

The same can happen to any supplier. But you wont never see in a news if the brand is rich enough.

Shein saving is because they dont have physical shops.

All expensive clothes brands are in the more expensives places of every city, and you pay that in every clothes.

She looks ridiculous. She looks like a nun but over compensating with the rest of her clothes

Look the hijab isn't just a piece of clothing, its a lifestyle, its a commitment to follow Islam by the book.

So what does that mean for someone who wears a hijab? You stay at home, you do not work, you do not show your self to anyone but your husband and be a devout Muslim.

Not taking pictures in jeans and dresses

Here in the UK women wear hijab to hide their thinning hair or over compensate for their promiscuous past  As you can see its lost its meaning, and perhaps it never did have a place in mainstream life.
