Production Mile Stone for Pakistan Aeronautical Complex

With Year 2018 mid way thru , Pakistan Aeronautical Complex has attained a great mile stone production of 26 Fighter Jets in order to accommodate the exports orders

Note 3 years ago decision was taken to expand production from 16 crafts to 20-26 crafts with export orders in mind

By end of 2017 The Thunder production line successfully went over 100+ JF17 Thunders split between Block 1 , and Block 2 , comparable to F16 Level Fighter Jets but armed with more lethal Long range Missiles

However between 2013-Present we have seen interest grow in Export orders for Thunder

• Nigeria ordering 3 planes and possible more orders to come to raise multiple squadrons
• Myanmar ordered 16 Thunders and on going discussions for more order

Future Order Possibilities:

• Azerbaijan Air force (Strong Possible closure in 2018)
• Indonesia after no go for Sukhoi recently might be blessing for Thunder
• Malaysia is also a consideration for primary initial discussion

The 2 Seat Thunder was created for a very specific Customer in mind, it is well known that Pakistan itself is happy with Single Seat Thunders but who is this Mysterious customer for the 2 Seat version of Thunder it remains to be seen but we know , 3 JF17B models are now used for Promotional Purpose

Who is the Mystery customer for the Twin Seat JF17 B Thunders?

If this model was created for sole purpose of a sale , someone have to be seriously interested for China/Pakistan to consider , full fledged research to create a Twin Seat plane

It's been 3 years since the original news pretty obvious we have reached our goals consider now we are building for foreign customers and also building / repairing our Block 1

100th Thunder back from Last year as we know
It was yuge news very yuge

Great but I hope it get expanded to 50+ per year though we don't need it all the time but if we get an order, we are able to ramp up production and deliver the customer earlier than any other A/C manufacturer and this will be another key selling point.

It is of course given number because it is formally part of Pakistan Airforce someone should update that out dated wiki

JF17 Block 1 / Block 2 : 100-126

JF17 Block 2B : 3 Now 18 of these B models would be amazing

JF17 Block III Development Stage : 0 (2019-2021)

Third prototype still being tested of course back in early august

So total number plus 3 JF-17b is now 126 not adding 2 JF-17 crashes.

what "601" means in 17-601 serial number ???

Number 1-500 are reserved for a certain program (s) (JF17 1/2/3 , Azm)
Pretty sure we will remain in 250 zone for Thunders but may be Azm will take remaining serial numbers

And of course Mirages are retiring as well
