Printer and cartridge info

Hello Sorry i am going to ask some noobish questions
I never owned a printer before and now i need one.
I want a color printer but don,t know which one to buy for best results,cost effectiveness and easy availability of cartridges. Secondly for color printing including printing multiple color paper should i buy a tricolor cartridge or a single color cartridge like cyan,magenta etc will just print one color?And for best color quality should i buy a inkjet printer or a laser printer?Sorry guys i am confused here.

A single cartridge system contains all four colours, when one runs out it stops working, even though there are others present.

Black colour is added to prevent the use of other colours. Always better to do a market survey, come back , surf net, go back and buy.

All depends on your needs and budget.

If you want to print 100 pages a month, almost any printer in the world would do your job. If the cartridge is expensive you can alwaya buy non oem cartridges. I hope its also available in Pakistan. It is best advised to visit your local printer market and inquire about availability of cartridges.

If your needs to medium to heavy usage then I own Brother 5720dw and its quite good. The ink is also quite cheap and ibstead of small cartridges of 300 pages per cartridge, it can easily print 1200 pages of black and 2500 pages of colour. It claims to print about 1200 pages from each colour cartridge too but turns out to give well above 2000 when ink of all colour cartridges combined.

If your needs are light then most HP printers would do your job really well don't spend too mucg money on printers in that case as your 5000 rupees printer would do exactly the same job that your 50000 rupees printer would... and despite the fact you might have to pay double for ink cartridges for each time, your needs are low and won't be able to justify the cost in the end

I can't tell you about the specific printer, ask the vendor.

No, although it is initially more expensive, you use all of the ink. With a single cartridge, you will replace the complete cartridge when only one colour has run out, but the others are remaining.
